FATTA FAT CHUTNEY – TOMATO SPICY CHUTNEY by Vahchef – VahRehVah



Lip snacking spicy chutney made out of tomatoes and red chillies

Ingredients:
Oil 1 Tablespoons
Coriander seeds 1/2 Teaspoons
Red chilli 5 Numbers
Chana dal 1 Tablespoons
Fenugreek seeds 1/4 Teaspoons
Peanuts 1 Tablespoons
Sesame seeds 1 Teaspoons
Garlic 4 Clove
Tamarind pieces 3-4 Piece
Tomatoes 4 Numbers
Salt To taste

Directions:
1. Heat oil in a pan add coriander seeds, red chilli, chana dal, fenugreek seeds, saute it for 2 minutes.

2. Then add peanuts, sesame seeds and garlic, tamarind pieces, tomato pieces, salt to taste saute it and reduce the flame, put the lid on and let it cook for till tomatoes are nicely soft.

3. Let it cool down and put all the ingredient into the blender and make a coarse paste.

4. For the tempering : Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add1/4tsp mustard seeds when mustard seeds splutter add1/4tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp chana dal, 4 no red chilli, 1 tsp urad dal, when dal is slightly colored add pinch hing, 2 sprigs curry leaves, switch off the flame.

4. Pour this tempering on the top of the chutney and mix it.

5. Serve this chutney with Rice, roti or dosa.
